Hey 🙂 I’m Jimmy Leung
a young bloke who enjoys travelling as much as you do. Originally from Hong Kong, I am currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
Having the privilege to fly and travel around Asia-Pacific and the World, particularly in premium cabins, I dreamt of a platform where I could jot down and document my experiences, so the blissful moments could be remembered and revisited anytime, eternally.
With my love of transport, I aim to share honest, unbiased and detailed land, sea and air travel trip reports, as well as hotel reviews and transport guides, here on Before Each Arrival.
Some might see air travel as transport from A to B.
I see air travel as part of the experience.
The Story of Before Each Arrival
The name roots from the special feeling I get each time I go on a trip. Often times, while anticipating the trip itself, I’m somehow obsessed with the transport to the destination. I’m obsessed with the feeling of getting to the airport, checking in, going through security, boarding the plane…. everything that happens Before Each Arrival, where everybody else would consider as the start of a holiday.
As one who considers the flight, the train ride or the coach trip, as part of the journey, I’ve always been willing to splurge on a premium cabin ticket, or a first class seat on the train. The next thing I know, I discover the world of points and miles, unlocking cheaper and better ways to access the ticket the general public deems as “only for the rich”.
Besides, I also enjoy diving into different transit systems around the world. On every expedite, I’m always keen to explore different modes of transport, interesting scenic routes or vehicles I can’t find at my home city.
So, join me, savoring the journey and experience Before Each Arrival, and exploring what has to come after arrival.
